As a Human Resources Generalist you are expected to:
Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department including, but not limited to group employee benefits, payroll administration, employee relations, legal compliance and regulations.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program and writes and places advertisements.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Position Requirements: 
  • Minimum of 2-4 years HR experience with a manufacturing company (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with OSHA and other Safety Standards
  • Must be able to travel when required
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Some local travel is expected for this position.
