Sunair Electronics is seeking an experienced Technical Write/Trainer. This individual will be responsible for development of technical manuals, training documentation and conducting training sessions in the use and maintenance of Sunair HF communications equipment. ‚Äč He/she will support company operations in development of user manuals and training materials and development of training programs.

As a Technical Write & Trainer you can expect to:
 
  • Work with engineering and production personnel to assist in creating Operator and Maintenance manuals.
  • Provide input to Director of Engineering and/or product manager to assist with overall customer goals, requirements and ad-hoc technical needs.
  • Assist in system operations for the development of end-user materials and system training materials
  • Coordinate with management to assess technical challenges and provide action items.
  • Recommend new methods and strategies to ensure timely delivery of technical material.
  • Develop training programs for new and existing equipment.
  • Review and recommend improvements to existing documentation and training strategies.
  • Work with printed, electronic and video formats.
  • Assist in translation of technical material from English to other languages.
  • Work in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
 
Required Experience:
 
  • 10+ years in development of technical manuals and technical training.
  • Proficient in document development tools, MS-WORD, Visio, etc.
  • Experience writing technical documentation.
  • Experience with common electronics test equipment.
  • Must have experience with communications equipment. (Required)
 
 Miscellaneous Requirements:
 
  • Proficiency with MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access).
  • Very strong technical background.
  • Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a team environment.
  • GROL (FCC General Radio Operator License) and/or amateur radio license. (Desirable)  
  • Must have or be able to obtain and keep a passport for travel internationally.
 
 
 Educational Requirements:
 
  • High School graduate or equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical related field.
