As a RF Synthesizer Designer you can expect to:
  • Requires an individual with effective multi-tasking and time-management skills
  • Developing and maintaining associated software documentation (software requirements specifications, design specifications, procedures, etc.) according to the level and detail required by each project.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with RF synthesizers and board level digital/analog circuit design. Including a strong background in RF and high speed mixed-signal circuitry including PLLs, VCO, DDS, A/Ds, D/As, Filters, etc
  • Develop specifications for, and design of RF synthesizers and related circuitry for HF radio communications systems.  Encompassing design and development decisions, evaluation of electronic components and circuitry, physical design, fabrication and performance evaluation.
  • Create and/or coordinate layout, assembly and testing of the prototype assemblies.
  • Evaluate and characterize prototype units
 
 
Required Experience
 
  • Must have 5-10 years experience in software development.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure against deadlines
  • Create system functionality and design specifications including block diagrams, analyze performance using simulations and circuit characterization.
  • Recommend and/or develop control strategies and algorithms.
  • Review system level specifications for critical design and performance characteristics.
  • Must have working knowledge of audio CAD
  • Produce design documentation and assist in the transfer of information for preparation of technical documentation.
  • All other duties as assigned

 
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Electronics or equivalent, with documented design experience required.
