As a Document Control Clerk you are expected to:
Collect, maintain and distribute all documents necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes that insure conformance to customer requirements; develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center; manages the operation of the document control center to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Responsible to maintain the approved documents and drawings in the Document Control Repository under safe custody, without any damage or deterioration with easy traceability.
  • Maintain timely distribution of latest revision level documentation/drawings to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution.
  • Make sure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable.
  • Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents.
  • Coordinates the creation, revision, and distribution of controlled documents, as per ECR to all departments.
  • Maintain the conditions under which existing drawings are revised, replaced or canceled.
  • Responsible to control and disposition of obsolete engineering & production drawings.
  • Support ISO initiatives and conduct Internal Audits in the company.
  • Maintain Quality records, reports, logs, etc as required.
  • Perform clerical duties to generate documents as necessary.
  • Assigns control number to Document Change Requests.
  • Responsible for technical documentation procedures.
  • And all other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to interpret the CAD drawings.
  • Understanding of Sheet Metal, PCBs and Mechanical Drawings.
  • Understanding of MS Word, Excel with the capability of effectively working with large complex documents.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects effectively.
  • Experience with MS Access and/or electronic document management systems preferred.
  • Understanding and familiarity with ISO-9001 regulatory requirements, guidelines.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Some local travel is expected for this position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • College degree or 3-5 years of related experience.
